Finding Peace in the New Year

After a bit too many sweets, I found my way to a “silent” heated yoga class. I figured, it was a great way to sweat out the excess sugar and assist in bringing myself back to some sort of balance. Minutes into the class the instructor started to speak, hence not a “silent” class. After a brief moment of annoyance, I quickly let it go, as I began to find an inner rhythm through the chatter.

I have been doing yoga for many years and know these poses quite well. This class brought me to new experiences within the postures. During the “bow” pose, a very poised archer emerged with a laser focus of intentionality. I was stretching and opening new muscles and fascia, different than ever before. At that moment, there was no noise. The distractions I had reacted to in the past, were no longer present in this moment, as I continued to go deeper into each pose.

Then a cool breeze came into the studio as he turned on the fans and opened the door to cool down the room. This occurred right in the middle of the “camel” pose. One of the deepest postures to assist in opening our hearts. All the while I was attempting to stay open as my body felt like it was now in a freezer. I paused and took in a long deep breath instead of going back into the full posture. When I stopped, I found myself instantly begin honoring my back. This in place of moving through my now constricted muscles, that came about from the chill in the room.

In the midst of the changing temperature, my heart remained open with a new inner stillness. It’s funny how something so minor, can stir up so much in us. It is up to us to discover ways to not allow anything or anyone to take away our peace, no matter what weather comes our way. Whether its financial, relational, environmental, physical or emotional—everything has the ability to steal our peace.

You do have the ability to find the courage and tools to “be” with it all— the good, the bad and the ugly. Throughout your day when you find yourself with any untoward reactions or unrest, may you find a way to stop and take pause to allow your breath to move through some of these place’s. Your breath may assist you in uncovering A NEW way to “be” with even the most difficult of times. By just allowing a brief moment of peace and stillness to make its way to you—you may find a new meaning to these places of reaction. We have to change to bring in more life! Life is change, and change is life.

Life provides us limitless opportunities to learn, heal and grow. “The color of our medicine is unique and individual to each of us. We are indeed complex beings. By stopping, by sitting with all our complexities, we can bring more peace and clarity to our hearts and into our homes. If we listen, if we remain open to the signs, symbols, and messages that are all around us, our hearts can guide us.” This is an excerpt from my book, “What Color is Your Medicine?”

I will be offering an Online Sol Journey Adventure working with deepening the medicine that the 5 Elements provide us. We will meet for an hour and a half, for 10 Sundays starting Jan 13th,2019. This as a means to assist in bringing more peace, clarity, and wisdom as you make your way into the New Year! Check out more information. Feel free to drop me a line with interest      Blessings,   Regina

Strengthening our spiritual muscles

When we keep ourselves busy enough, in order to have enough, we sometimes miss out on bringing forth our full divine potential.

~If you are spiritually awake YOU will be totally taken care of in this world~

I came across this most recently in reference to a class, it felt like it was written in BOLD print. I have always felt a strong pull to fully engage the many aspects of my self this lifetime. A pulling at my heart on how to receive, how to open and fully ground, all in pursuit of living freely from the inside out.  This way of BEing continues to strip away my illusions of self-sufficiency, so to be with thy self as well as the other, as a vehicle of transformation and change. The child once in need of being cared for by other, only to realize we are already totally cared for. As the process of surrender unfolds, the more awake I become into further aspects of my unknown self, and able to allow more of the mystery and magic into everyday life.

I recently dreamt of being asleep on a train, upon awakening, I saw some people I knew walking past me in the aisle. They were people I had journeyed with this lifetime, in the mountains of West Virginia. The last person who started to pass me stopped and sat with me. He had been a teacher and a spiritual mentor of mine. He shared his upcoming programs and what had been happening over the last year. He asked how I was as I was stretching my arms out, as if I was awakening from a long slumber, I responded, I’m stiff. I realized after I reflected upon this dream, it was as if I was a bear awakening from a long winter hibernation. All the while sitting across from someone I have always respected and admired in his way of BEing in the world. With the realization of how I have been totally cared for with amazing guidance and support, whether asleep or awake!

Our paths have many roads to choose, all in preparation of awakening our spiritual potentials. I have been blessed many times over this lifetime with so many wonderful experiences with people, places and animal kingdom alike, all to assist in building and strengthening my spiritual muscles. All perfect just as they are no~thing good, no~thing bad, perfect and getting better and all in divine time.

I now find myself going on a journey for 6 weeks, a walk across Spain. My departure date April Fool’s and my arrival date is Mother’s day! No accident on those 2 significant dates. I am going with the intent to continue my spiritual expansion, as a way to gain more truth and understandings of myself and my gifts. A time to let go of anything that may be preventing my full self being fully present, here now. The Camino de Santiago is a pilgrimage, ending at the tomb of St James~ Santiago (St. James) de Compostela (campo de estrellas, or “field of stars”). The final destination a field of ✨ stars, to walk to awaken my full spiritual self,  with a community of like minds, all on a journey to the unknowns within.

We all take different routes to awaken and some travel the world over in order to find our way back home ☺ Others awaken one morning to find themselves on a different route than they normally take to work, only to discover a new way of being.

A Journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step~ Lao-Tzu

Where ever your soul awakens to this day, may you find your feet fully planted upon this gorgeous planet we have been placed.  If you stumble or fall in the process, may you find the strength to once again begin the journey to discover the truth and understanding of your divine being.

Pay attention to the messages, they are everywhere!

I have a dear friend and colleague who is an amazing Akashic record reader. If you feel called and would like to learn more about her gifts please go to ~I mention this as we all are in need of assistance as we make our way on our journeys. Perhaps opening your records may assist you in your manifesting your desire to awaken!

If you long to bring forth a life lived from your full Divine potential, fully here and present I hope to have you join us on a Sol Journey Adventure.  Sol Journeys will continue making our way upon the lands of this 🌏 earth once again and will soon be offering week long retreats here and abroad. It may just include a part of the Camino❓One never knows what lies ahead as remaining open to everything,  expecting no thing!

Whichever road you choose, may you find an effortless ebb and flow as you make your way.

Until our next Sol Journeys

A Time of Reflection and Ceremony

“We come onto this earth walk like a piece of smashed mirror. Each piece is part of a giant puzzle, each piece reflecting the light of the Great Spirit. We spend out lifetime fitting these pieces together until we have a finished mirror, a totality of being. “ Agnes Whistling Elk

This time of year can bring us into a time of self-reflection, a time to ponder the past in its totality.  A time to find our self wanting to purge or let go of something in attempts to find more balance on what may appear to feel like you may be walking on uneven pavement.  This time may assist in discovering the missing piece in your puzzle that leaves you feeling somewhat off balance. It may have that felt sense of an inner gnawing or prodding, leaving you good one minute, then off the next! A ceremony could be just the ticket!   A time of letting go, or a time of taking in.  This in order to re-discover your divine spark, reflecting more of yourself than you did in the past.   This is a time of coming together, to mend those place (s) that may have been shattered from past hurts, past traumas, or events that keep causing this on and off unrest within the system. When we discover this contemplative place it can be both uplifting as well as cathartic, when we stop to reflect upon our inner/outer workings.

Go ahead and write down what is working and what is not~ it may be best to put some time down on the calendar, some YOU time! Self care, the necessary ingredient during these busy times. This as in order to nourish those around us, we must first start with our self.   A time to collect some of those piece(s) that may be looking for a home, or wanting to be released or tended to in order to find more alignment in our bright beautiful self that is looking to be polished, in hopes of getting some resolution and peace. As all in all you are perfect just as you are, and getting better!

So no need to go to great lengths, sitting with a lit candle, bringing in a sacred object and wallah you have the makings of a ceremony. Sitting in your home or garden somewhere in the natural world would be great if possible.  As a way to honor our dear Bella Mama as she would delight in the witnessing of you honoring yourself, in her presence which would directly reflect and honor her.  You could start with a prayer in bringing forth Divine Protection as a way of creating your sacred space, then you may wish to bring in the four directions. The directions can assist in the narrowing down the areas in your life that are in need of some attention: The South- Child- Physical; The West- Adolescent- Emotional; The North-Adult- The Spirit self; The East-The Wise One- The Intellect, the mind.

Please send us some insights and happenings from your solstice ceremonies!

Blessings to all over this holiday season.     Regina
