co-ed camp - so here it is!)

This journey is about living out one of your dreams - if you ever wished you could try surfing - now is the time! Here’s a chance to stop saying, “I wished I had done that…and do it!” Take a risk, sign up with us to play in the surf and maybe even get up on that surf board - and start living your dreams.
Sol Journeys partners with the legendary Linda Benson and her s
taff for this 4 day surf adventure. Linda was both a world and 5-time U.S. champion and is a surfing hall of famer. Linda dominated women’s competitive surfing for over 10 years in the 1960’s - many consider her to be the top woman surfer of all time! Linda was the “surfer” girl in the Gidget Goes Hawaiian film and the Annette Funicello Beach Party films.

What’s Included:
Daily surf instruction, high quality lodging at a brand new boutique hotel, daily yoga classes, daily chair massage, fabulous food, “camp style activities”, and of course afternoon beach time!

Dates: Wednesday - Sunday, July 23 - 27, 2008 (arrive on Wednesday - we begin on Thursday). Our program begins on Thursday July 24 - Sunday July 27, 2008. Your lodging is not included on Wednesday night. Our lodging is right at the beach in Carlsbad.
Tuition: $1595 per person. We will place you into a Double Occupancy room with another participant. A $200 deposit will hold your spot in our 2008 surf camp.
Details: The program begins at 8 AM on Thursday morning - we will pick you up at a San Diego airport area hotel - or you may meet us at our surf beach in Encinitas. All meals are included except 1 dinner. We finish on Sunday after our late lunch - Sunday will be a full day with surf instruction and final activities.
What is included? All instruction and surf equipment including wet-suits as needed, yoga supplies, and group gear. Of course food and drink (except 1 dinner). We will send you a welcome packet that includes a packing list when you register for the journey.
Getting to Encinitas, CA: You are responsible for getting yourself to San Diego (Carlsbad/Encinitas, CA). If you are coming from the Tucson/Phoenix area, we will help to coordinate carpooling - just let us know and we’ll add you to the interested in carpooling list - we’ll help to match up those who want to drive together. Plan about 6.5 hours of driving to get to the town of South Carlsbad/Encinitas. Those flying in will find it easy to arrange flights into the San Diego airport.
