- The Radical Self Care Retreat (Feb) encouraged me not to give up on my dreams.
- The day hikes, yoga and meditation have given me new resources for personal renewal–resources that will last me a lifetime.
- The Mountain Bike Clinic (May) proved to me that with some specific skills training, encouragement and expert guidance I still have what it takes to do something very physical. I had a blast and felt so accomplished!
I’m a 49 year old professional woman and have spent way too much of my life working inside and behind the desk and I needed to see for myself what I could still do. There are numerous benefits from attending the wonderful evening. My body feels more relaxed, I feel more centered and connected with my body as well as enjoying the focus of the mind-body connection. The instructor, Mary Grace, is filled with kindness, and her approach is gentle and promotes a sense of ease. There is a sense of surrender and serenity as she guides the class through a wonderful meditation. An added benefit is the opportunity to enjoy the collective energy of the other attendees. I thought the clinic was VERY well organized and the format was VERY well thought-out. I had an excellent instructor and I got a tremendous amount of useful information and things to continue working on, out of the hours we spent on the bike. So the format of skills in the morning and trail riding, with lots of stopping and working on “do-overs” was perfect. The yoga session was a great way to end the day.
