“We come onto this earth walk like a piece of smashed mirror. Each piece is part of a giant puzzle, each piece reflecting the light of the Great Spirit. We spend out lifetime fitting these pieces together until we have a finished mirror, a totality of being. “ Agnes Whistling Elk
This time of year can bring us into a time of self-reflection, a time to ponder the past in its totality. A time to find our self wanting to purge or let go of something in attempts to find more balance on what may appear to feel like you may be walking on uneven pavement. This time may assist in discovering the missing piece in your puzzle that leaves you feeling somewhat off balance. It may have that felt sense of an inner gnawing or prodding, leaving you good one minute, then off the next! A ceremony could be just the ticket! A time of letting go, or a time of taking in. This in order to re-discover your divine spark, reflecting more of yourself than you did in the past. This is a time of coming together, to mend those place (s) that may have been shattered from past hurts, past traumas, or events that keep causing this on and off unrest within the system. When we discover this contemplative place it can be both uplifting as well as cathartic, when we stop to reflect upon our inner/outer workings.
Go ahead and write down what is working and what is not~ it may be best to put some time down on the calendar, some YOU time! Self care, the necessary ingredient during these busy times. This as in order to nourish those around us, we must first start with our self. A time to collect some of those piece(s) that may be looking for a home, or wanting to be released or tended to in order to find more alignment in our bright beautiful self that is looking to be polished, in hopes of getting some resolution and peace. As all in all you are perfect just as you are, and getting better!
So no need to go to great lengths, sitting with a lit candle, bringing in a sacred object and wallah you have the makings of a ceremony. Sitting in your home or garden somewhere in the natural world would be great if possible. As a way to honor our dear Bella Mama as she would delight in the witnessing of you honoring yourself, in her presence which would directly reflect and honor her. You could start with a prayer in bringing forth Divine Protection as a way of creating your sacred space, then you may wish to bring in the four directions. The directions can assist in the narrowing down the areas in your life that are in need of some attention: The South- Child- Physical; The West- Adolescent- Emotional; The North-Adult- The Spirit self; The East-The Wise One- The Intellect, the mind.
Please send us some insights and happenings from your solstice ceremonies!
Blessings to all over this holiday season. Regina
